“Dave, thanks again for a fabulous trip. Every member of our party thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Your preparation and your execution in the field were impeccable in every respect. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. We are already talking about our next trip, hopefully the St. Croix with you next summer”. John Aromando, Poland, Maine

Another guided Maine canoe trip with Dave Conley and Canoe the Wild. This was a four day and three night canoe trip. A guided trip on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway is a great place to view wildlife and brush up on your canoeing and camping skills. Other trips that offer great scenery and easy whitewater include the St. Croix River near Vanceboro Maine. Choose the Bonaventure River in Quebec for more adventuresome whitewater and great wilderness scenery.

Manisse and grandson Joey of San Francisco enjoy a recent four day St. Croix River trip with Canoe the Wild. The canoe trip was part of an extended vacation in Maine including a day cruise out of Boothbay Habor for a lobster bake on Cabbage Island and viewing puffins, four day Windjammer cruise out of Rockland, Moose Safari in Greenville and a float plane fly in, northern Maine to fish for Brook Trout. East Grand Veteran Outdoor Education student Chelsea Winiarski took part as an assistant.

Fall Overnight Trip with East Grand School Outdoor Program on the Baskahegan Stream. Students mountain biked to the stream, paddled, poled and utilized a new campsite which some of them help build over the summer. Students cooked over an open fire, tented out, and some tried their hand at moose calling.  Students learned to leave the campsite better then they found it. Guided canoe trips are offered on Maine’s best rivers including the Allagash and St. Croix Rivers for families, school and youth groups by Dave Conley and Canoe the Wild

Guided Allagash canoe trip with the Gamble Family, August 2013. Six days starting at Churchill Lake, paddling Chase Stream Rips, Umsaskis and Long Lakes, Round Pond, Portaging around Allagash Falls and ending in Allagash Village. Here is a testimonial from Mark Gamble who did the trip with his three sons. “When planning our trip, what I expected from Dave, was to get my three sons and me safely down the Allagash and to show us this beautiful river. What made the trip great were all the things Dave provided that I did not expect. I never expected the food to be so good or that he would be so great and patient with my kids. I also didn’t expect that Dave would be our own private trip photographer. Thanks to him, we have hundreds of memorable photographs that really captured this wonderful experience. I wouldn’t think twice about planning another canoe trip with Dave!” For more information and to book a trip visit  www.canoethewild.com

Our four day family Allagash canoe trip began on Round Pond and ended in Allagash Village. A great trip for spotting wildlife. We Paddled through easy but lively Round Pond Rips, enjoyed the scenery and great campsites. Cooking was over an open fire. A great time to rest, relax, explore and learn new skill on Maine’s Allagash Wilderness Waterway. More guided trips available with Maine guide Dave Conley of Canoe The Wild

200 mile Mountain River Canoe Trip, July 7-21, 2013 beginning at Norseman Lake and ending on the Mackenzie River, 14 days, lots of whitewater, Caribou sightings, numerous hikes and great times with friends! Spray skirts were a must! We did the trip at medium water and you had to pay attention all the time to avoid being caught off guard in a hole, boil or ending up in a channel you didn’t intend to take. Great scenery and temps ranged from below freezing at night to 80 degrees during the day while another day we had wind and spitting snow! Check out more of Dave’s trips at www.canoethewild.com
